Busy Bee
A lucky shot of a bee about to feed on my hedge before my dad cut it (the hedge, that is) to more manageable proportions.

…Fly Away Home.
Which it did, after it had visited that which I could, with some imagination, call my garden.
Two small wooden cats I have. They stand on one of the many shelves in my house and (currently) guard a stack of DVDs. I bought them at a local garden centre that also has some stuff to decorate your home with.
My cat’s not much of a hunter. Sure, he’ll chase things but, besides killing one spider a few months ago, he’s doesn’t actually catch anything. Until the other day, when he found this dragonfly fluttering behind the curtain. While I was still wondering ‘what the hell is that cat doing there?’ he caught it, brought it out and tried to eat it.
That didn’t work all that well so he dropped it on the windowsill as a present to me. And as I usually do when I see an interesting little creature, I grab my camera and shoot it. And then I whacked it on the head and killed it as it was very obviously on its way to the shiny light anyway.
A metal waterdish for birds in the shape of a leaf with two birds on the edge drinking. The thing has gone rusty but is all the more beautiful because of it. Nothing is as boring as perfection 🙂
The seventh of this month (June) my aunt celebrated her birthday. She and my uncle have an amazing garden with plenty of interesting and beautiful things to shoot. This and the following three shots all come from their garden and yard.
This is a fake Common Kingfisher in a wicker basket with flowers.
The woods around my town feature a small deer park and as I passed it, I noticed they’ve had young this year 🙂 It’s not exactly a baby anymore but still very obviously a child.
Monet intrigued by whatever figment of his imagination that happens to dance by.
