My precious little eh… large furbaby enjoying himself in a dry mud corner.
Two small wooden cats I have. They stand on one of the many shelves in my house and (currently) guard a stack of DVDs. I bought them at a local garden centre that also has some stuff to decorate your home with.
Monet intrigued by whatever figment of his imagination that happens to dance by.
This is my cat. His name is Monet and he is an almost-five-year-old (just 11 more days) ex-male. He loves to cuddle and be petted, he loves to sleep, he loves to roam outside and chase and/or hassle the other cats that live around here. I love him to, excuse the girly-ness, itty bitty bits.
I managed to abandon the blog for another three months, yay me. Not. I don’t know how it happened but one day it was July 9 and I posted and suddenly it’s October 4…
I’ll give a quick rundown of the last three months. Most importantly, new school started. New school is a two-year program to become an elementary school teacher. The program is meant for people who’ve already gotten a diploma or have lots of experience with kids already as it is two years shorter than the regular program.
I follow this program at pabo De Eekhorst in Assen and so far I’m really liking it. The people in my class as well as my mentor/coach are really nice and I’ve learned a lot already in just a few weeks.
I contacted the school assigned to me for practical training yesterday and set up a meeting for coming Monday to discuss which days I’m coming in and which year I’ll train with first.
Then, a little over two months ago, I got a cat. He’s a four-year-old, black and white ex-male with the name Monet. I amended that into Jethro Venantius Monet but just call him Monet.
I got him from the animal shelter on the 24th of July and now it’s as if he’s always been here.
I’ll get some pictures up soon.
Besides that I had my birthday on the 28th; I turned 23. I celebrated with friends that Friday and the Sunday after with my family at my parent’s place as they won’t all fit in my house. I got many very pretty presents including a teapot, a lovely children’s book that was one of my (many) favourites when I was a kid, a concert dvd of Laura Pausini, cat toys and other stuff.
Today is World Animal Day and normally I would usually do something about, get Tessa a present, cuddle Monet extra but, unfortunately for them, I’m going swimming with two of my friends in the really fancy pool on one of those bungalow vacation parks.
